Job Summary

We are looking for passionate and motivated staff to join our growing team to tutor Mathematics, English and Science. We are looking for casual, part time and full time staff. Teaching experience is preferred. We offer face to face weekly tuition in Newcastle, NSW after school and on weekends. School holiday tuition is optional. Tutor one day a week or every day in your course of expertise! These positions are only available to qualified primary or secondary teachers.

Maths Tutor Near Me Pty Ltd offers K-12 support for students in Mathematics and English. Our senior tutors are paid from $80/h plus superannuation. Junior tutors are paid from $60/h plus superannuation. We have a professional, supportive and friendly work environment with flexible working hours. We purchase and provide resources as needed. About the Role

We are looking for qualified teachers to tutor:

• K-6 English
• 11/12 Advanced English
• 11/12 Extension English
• K-6 Mathematics
• 7-10 Mathematics
• 11/12 Advanced Mathematics
• 11/12 Extension Mathematics
• 11/12 Physics
• 11/12 Chemistry

This is an active teaching role. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Differentiating content for student needs individually.
• Teaching content and skills within your subject area only.
• Supporting students to prepare for assessments.
• Addressing learning gaps.
• Reporting student progress to parents each semester.
• Keeping records of learning activities and makeup sessions.
• Ensure WHS and safety requirements are adhered to at all times.
• Assist with other administrative or cleaning tasks if required.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Tertiary teacher education qualifications.
• A current Working With Children’s Check.
• Teaching experience within your subject area.
• Developed the ability to differentiate learning tasks.
• The availability to work between 2.30 - 7.30pm on some or all school days. Weekend mornings and/or afternoons if desired. Choose your days. Start/finish times are flexible.
• An Australian Business Number (free to apply online).
• The option to offer school holiday tuition if/when required.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent administration skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• The ability to build rapport with students, staff and parents.
• The ability to work as part of a team and unsupervised.
• Initiative and problem solving skills.
