Our Lady Of Good Counsel Catholic Primary School, Forestville is currently seeking a part time Canteen Manager to join on a 12 month, temporary basis.

About the Role

Reporting to the School Principal, Our Lady Of Good Counsel Catholic Primary School, Forestville is currently seeking to appoint a Canteen Manager on a 12-month temporary basis.

The working days for this position is Thursday & Friday (6 hours per day).

We are looking for a friendly and motivated individual who enjoys working in the school environment.

Position Requirements

• Supportive of the Catholic Ethos of the Diocese of Broken Bay;
• Must be available to work Thursday & Friday
• Ordering & Maintaining Stock
• Able to take full responsibility for all areas in relation to Canteen Management (previous experience an advantage)
• Supervise and support volunteer staff
• Maintaining a clean canteen as per school guidelines
• Food storage and preparation
• Up to date knowledge of food handling requirements
• Consulting with the Principal that canteen policies and financial responsibilities are met
• Be customer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills
• Able to facilitate healthy eating program in line with Healthy School Canteens
• Ability to work collaboratively with others
• Must love working with children
• Will be directly responsible to the Food Safety Supervisor
• Willing to learn and utilise the schools online ordering portal
• Have a valid WWCC
• First Aid Certificate (desirable)

Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic School, Forestville is a K-6 co-educational primary school which was originally founded by the Brigidine Sisters. It opened in 1962 having been built by volunteer labour. The school has always enjoyed strong support from the local Catholic community. OLGC is part of the peninsula cluster of schools. Current enrolment is approximately 314.
