About Our School

Become a key mentor and educator at LaSalle Catholic College's Saint Yon Trade Training Centre. As part of our 7 - 12 co-educational community, you'll provide specialised vocational training to senior students, utilising a high-quality, purpose built facility. Your role will involve delivering personalised learning and experiences, both face-to-face and online while supporting the education, workplace and pastoral needs of vocationally-focused students in collaboration with the Principal and the Assistant Principal of Saint Yon.

About You

As a suitably qualified Trade Trainer - Construction you will be a dynamic educator, keen to engage and inspire our students and deliver a curriculum that caters for students with different learning styles. You'll bring:

• the ability to deliver high quality, personalised training specific to the construction industry
• the ability to support and supervise a group of vocationally focused students
• the ability to liaise with industry representatives whilst supporting the workplace learning program
• effective teaching/coaching skills
• sound written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• a commitment to quality education and training and to sharing your industry knowledge with your students
• ability to work as part of a team of trainer educators
• a commitment to the Catholic ethos of the College, the Catholic Church and the wellbeing of all community members
• experience in training and mentoring young people in an employment or educational environment (highly desirable)
• relevant industry qualifications in Construction (minimum Cert II Construction Pathways)
• experience working the construction industry
• certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or be prepared to obtain).
