About You

As a School Support Officer - Kitchen Assistant (Level 4), you will be an integral member of the school community, you will demonstrate LaSalle Catholic College Bankstown's values and professional standards in interacting with students, staff, parents and the community. You must be able to demonstrate:

• experience working in catering and food service
• experience or demonstrated skills in stock control ie; ordering and maintaining inventory
• experience in food handling and food safety in line with WHS policies and procedures
• strong written,oral communication and interpersonal skills
• ability to deal sensitively with students and staff when required
• excellent organisational skills including the ability to work effectively in a busy environment, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
• ability to learn new systems
• ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
• proven computer literacy skills (MS Office and Google suite)
• accuracy and attention to detail
• proven ability to recognise confidential issues as they arise and to treat them with the sensitivity required
• a willingness to support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
• a willingness to perform other duties as directed by the Principal.
