Position Descriptor
Be our first-ever Head of Cricket. Plympton International College is launching a specialist R-12 cricket program and we're seeking a registered teacher to build it from the ground up. You'll design the pathway (participation performance), mentor coaches, partner with SACA and local clubs, and create experiences that grow skills, character and joy, aligned to our values and learning vision.
This is a teaching leadership role. Applicants must:
- Hold current South Australian Teacher Registration (or be eligible to obtain it promptly), and
- Hold a relevant teaching degree/ITE qualification (or equivalent recognised for registration).

What you'll do
- Lead program strategy, coaching quality and operations across R-12.
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive teaching and coaching that develops technical, tactical, physical and mental skills.
- Oversee talent ID, selection, fixtures and match-day operations.
- Run development squads, camps, tours and competitions.
- Recruit/roster and develop coaching staff; lead PD and clinics.
- Manage budget, procurement and equipment; maintain participation/progress data.
- Coordinate logistics for training, travel and events; report outcomes to the College.
- Champion child safety and wellbeing in every setting.
What you bring
- Registered teacher (SA) with a teaching degree; strong classroom practice and R-12 pedagogy.
- Proven coaching success (school/club or higher) and program-building experience.
- Cricket Australia Level 2 (or equivalent) accreditation (Level 3 desirable).
- Leadership, communication and collaboration skills; ability to influence across faculties.
- WWCC/RRHAN-EC (or ability to obtain) and commitment to child-sa
