Prince of Peace Lutheran College is seeking a permanent Classroom Teacher (P-6) – The Arts - Visual Arts, Media Arts and Dance with contemporary learning experience. FTE 0.6
This is a permanent position, FTE 0.6, working Monday – Wednesday, commencing in Semester 2, 2026.
- It is essential that applicants have a demonstrated capacity in working as a Primary Classroom Arts Teacher Foundation to Year 6 as this is the main focus of the role.
- Advocates for and develops a vibrant Primary Arts program (Foundation to Year 6), fostering creativity, student voice, and community connection through performances, exhibitions, and authentic learning experiences.
- Capacity to align with the expectations detailed in the role description classroom teacher – Junior, particularly as they apply to the Arts program
SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Demonstrated skills which reflect commitment to, and understanding of, the Christian ethos of the College
2. Demonstrated professional skills
- Ability to develop professional relationships with children from Foundation to Year 6.
- Ability to develop professional relationships with staff, colleagues, parents and members of the community
3. Demonstrated ability to plan and implement high quality teaching and learning programs
- Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Curriculum Arts subject – Visual Arts, Media Arts and Dance.
- Ability to integrate ICTs as cross curricular priorities in the curriculum
4. Knowledge and Qualifications
- An appropriate tertiary qualification in education
- Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (or able to obtain registration)
