We are seeking a dedicated and practical Maintenance Officer to join our team on a 12‑month fixed-term contract, supporting the ongoing care, safety and presentation of our Mile End and Paralowie campuses. This hands‑on role is ideal for someone with a broad range of maintenance skills who takes pride in their work and enjoys supporting a vibrant school community.

About the role
The Maintenance Officer will report to the Principal and the Property Services Manager and will assist with the day‑to‑day maintenance, presentation, safety and security of the College’s Mile End and Paralowie campuses. The role includes working collaboratively with other maintenance staff and contractors to ensure College facilities are safe, clean, functional and well presented.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- General building maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance
- Assisting with grounds and landscape maintenance
- Maintaining clean and tidy facilities, including rubbish and recycling
- Supporting daily campus security
- Assisting with building projects and coordinating contractors as required
- Setting up and packing down for College events and functions
- General maintenance duties including deliveries, storage construction and locker maintenance

The successful applicant will:
- Be a committed Christian, active in church fellowship
- Demonstrate alignment with the mission, values and Christian ethos of Temple Christian College
- Have proven experience in a maintenance or facilities role
- Possess a broad range of general maintenance or trade‑related skills
- Have knowledge of WHS practices and building or maintenance matters
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Working With Children Check and be willing to complete mandatory child‑safe training
- Hold a current Driver’s Licence and own transport
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a Forklift Licence
- Some out‑of‑hours work may be required
