This rewarding role will involve supporting pupils with additional needs both on a 1:1 basis and within small groups, helping them to access learning, develop confidence and thrive within the classroom environment.
The Role
- Providing tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
- Supporting learning, communication and social development
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement throughout the school day
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils to help them achieve their full potential
The Ideal Candidate
- Has previous experience working with children with SEN in a school, care or support setting
- Is patient, nurturing and adaptable
- Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Can work effectively as part of a wider school team
- Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience (desirable but not essential)
