Teaching Assistant - Secondary School

Location: Twickenham Start Date: September 2026 Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Veritas Education is working in partnership with a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Twickenham to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team from September.

This school is part of a forward-thinking trust and is well known for its strong sense of community, excellent relationships between staff and students, and a clear commitment to high standards and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities

• Support students across KS3 and KS4 in accessing the curriculum
• Work closely with teaching staff to deliver targeted interventions
• Assist in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Provide one-to-one and small group support where required
• Help students develop confidence, independence, and resilience

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting
• A passion for supporting students with a range of needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible, proactive, and committed to making a difference
• A genuine interest in education and student wellbeing

The school is particularly keen to meet candidates who are either:

• Considering a future career in education (e.g. teaching, educational psychology, SEN support), or
• From a psychology background and interested in applying their knowledge in a practical, student-centred environment
