Teacher - Science
We are seeking to establish a pool of Science Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the Term 4 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The School
Joseph Banks Secondary College (SC) is an Independent Public School in the suburb of Banksia Grove, approximately 40 kilometres from the Perth CBD. We serve students from surrounding suburbs including Banksia Grove, Carramar and Tapping. The Role
Suitable applicants will ideally be positive and passionate teachers of science, with a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. Suitable applicants should use their professional knowledge, understanding and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant Science curriculum, from the early and middle adolescent phases of learning, through to senior secondary courses.
Our students engage in a range of Science courses through middle and senior school. Senior school courses include Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) level subjects in Biology, Chemistry, Human Biology, Physics and Psychology, as well as Certificate III in Laboratory Skills.
The ability to teach Senior School ATAR Human Biology and/or Certificate III Laboratory Skills is highly desirable. Also, you will ideally be committed to personal and professional growth and embrace opportunities for collaboration.
Suitable applicants will ideally display their ability to develop innovative classroom practices and utilise Information Communication Technology to provide integrated, personalised, and authentic learning experiences for students. A key attribute is the ability to create environments conducive to learning and provide educational opportunities that are fun, purposeful, relevant and cater for differing student learning needs.
