This is a 12 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026 with possible extension and/or permanency

The Role

The successful applicant should be committed to ensuring all students succeed and are supported in their development in the Pre-primary classroom. A capacity to examine student data to determine the impact of teaching and to inform plan, teach assess cycles will ideally be embedded in your practice along with the ability to engage learners effectively. You should be supportive of intentional learning through a play-based philosophy combined with explicit direct instruction strategies for core curriculum. You will ideally be collaborative, open to feedback, classroom observation and instructional coaching as part of a growth focused team dedicated to impactful teaching.

Teaching practices should be evidence-based and data driven. Experience with school programs and pedagogy including Promoting Literacy Development and Heggerty will be highly regarded. You should incorporate the successful implementation of explicit teaching strategies along with embracing whole school approaches in Literacy and Numeracy.

The successful applicant should be committed to putting students first in their decision-making and ensure judgements are evidence based. You should be committed to working in a collaborative manner focused on implementing instructional strategies aligned to the school teaching and learning framework including instructional coaching to support impact.

You should have a can-do attitude and the ability to work positively with others in a collegiate environment, characterised by connected practice and a strong commitment to professional growth and ongoing improvement.
