This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026

The School

Kiara College is a vibrant learning community located on the western edge of the Swan Valley. Catering for Years 7-12, Kiara College offers comprehensive and innovative programs that support students to achieve their potential. Students can follow an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR), General or Vocational Education and Training (VET) pathways, preparing them for university entry, TAFE, or employment. Our partnerships with tertiary institutions such as ECU UniPrep and North Metro TAFE facilitate students’ success beyond school. We offer two Specialist Programs: Agriculture and Basketball. The Role

The successful applicant will ideally possess outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with students, staff and the wider community. You should be highly motivated and implement high quality, engaging and effective learning programs. Experience and skills in evidence-based literacy teaching pedagogies is desirable with the expectation of creating a safe and supportive learning environment that values diversity and promotes equity for all students.

The successful applicant would deliver high-quality, engaging programs in Aboriginal languages, fostering linguistic skills and cultural understanding among students that embed Aboriginal perspectives, histories, and cultural practices into the curriculum, aligned with SCASA requirements for language learning.

We are seeking someone that can build strong relationships with Aboriginal families, Elders, and community members to ensure culturally respectful and authentic language teaching along with actively contributing to Kiara College’s reconciliation journey by promoting truth-telling, respect, and equity in education

We will consider part-time work fractions for this role where possible.
