About the Role
The successful applicant will:
- Deliver individual and/or small-group cello lessons.
- Develop students' cello technique, musicianship, sight-reading, aural awareness and performance confidence.
- Support students in preparing for concerts, recitals, ensemble performances, liturgical events and other College performances.
- Support and/or conduct String Ensemble rehearsals and performances as required.
- Provide constructive feedback to students regarding their progress and development.
- Work collaboratively with the Performing Arts and wider Music Team.
- Contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the College's strings program.
- Prepare students for AMEB examinations where applicable.
About You
You will demonstrate:
- Appropriate qualifications and/or demonstrated experience as a cello and strings tutor.
- Strong expertise in cello technique, musicianship and performance preparation.
- The ability to teach students in individual and small-group settings.
- Experience preparing students for concerts, recitals and ensemble performances.
- Strong organisational, communication and time-management skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a supportive Performing Arts team.
- A commitment to the Catholic identity, Salesian charism and values of the College.
- A strong commitment to Child Safety and the wellbeing of young people.
- A current Working With Children Check.
