About Our School
This is a unique opportunity to join St Joseph's Catholic Primary School Rosebery as it grows to being a full Kindergarten to Year 6 Catholic Primary School. Opening in 2023 with a foundation Kindergarten enrolment, children and families are a part of a vibrant and welcoming Catholic community where outstanding teaching and learning inspires all to be the face of Christ in our world. In 2026, St Joseph's will have an enrolment of Kindergarten, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 and will grow each year until the school is a full Kindergarten to Year 6 in 2029.
Our school is located within the Parish of Sydney City South. The St Joseph's Rosebery Church and St Joseph's Preschool and Long Day Care Centre are also on-site.

About You
As the Senior School Support Officer (Level 6), you will provide a high-level of support to the Principal and leadership team. As an integral member of the school community, you will demonstrate St Joseph's Catholic Primary School Rosebery's values and professional standards in interacting with students, staff, parents and the community.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- delivering high level administrative support to the school leadership and support staff
- communicating with the Principal and school community members on administrative systems, including safety, finance, recruitment, staff development and office priorities
- exhibiting management prowess in administration, human resources, finance, school fees, office leadership, and other related reports for the Principal
- managing financial administration as required
- overseeing site induction and maintaining health and safety systems and records
- efficiently manage registers
- demonstrating a willingness to support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
- any other duties as directed by the Principal.
To thrive in this role, you will possess:
- proficiency in administrative and clerical tasks
- competence in financial and administrative management
- valuable qualities such as tact, reliability, and the ability to work in a team effectively
- a commitment to honesty, discretion, and maintaining confidentiality
- the abiltiy to multitask in a fast paced environment
- experience working with children or in a school environment
- strong interpersonal and organisational abilities
- familiarity with emerging technologies like Google Suite,Oracle, Microsoft Office software, Google Chrome, Compass, CiAnywhere, along with a solid grasp of Facilities tasks and WHS
- a minimum of five years of administrative/clerical experience
- experience in a team leader/supervisor or personal/executive assistant capacity
- proficiency in financial and administrative management
- a Certificate III/IV (TAFE NSW) or equivalent post-secondary qualification in administration, human resources, finance, accounting, or a related field.
