Hume Anglican Grammar is a multi-campus co-educational Anglican Diocesan School offering education from Prep to Year 12 in the Northern growth corridor of Melbourne.
- Hume has an open enrolment policy so educates children from many faiths and with a diverse range of backgrounds and abilities.

- In 2025, the School will have 2,960 students and employ some 290 staff - 195 teaching and 95 non-teaching. The student enrolment at each campus is at Mt Ridley 1,448, Donnybrook 1,036 and Kalkallo 476.
- Ultimately at capacity, Hume will have 3,640 students (Mt Ridley 1,456, Donnybrook 1,596 and Kalkallo 588) with a corresponding cohort of teaching and general staff totalling 350 across its three campuses with plans for further expansion.

About the role:
Hume now calls for applications for the position of School Management Accountant. This role is part time (0.6 FTE), ongoing and will be based at our Freier campus. The role will commence on Tuesday, 3 February 2026 and offers 6 weeks paid annual leave.
The School Management Accountant position is to provide financial information and analysis to assist School Management and Governance make informed business decisions. This role involves analysing financial data, preparing monthly management reports, assisting in the development and monitoring of budgets, and in ad-hoc financial projects as required.
The School Management Accountant is a part of the Administration Staff and is a senior position responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information to help plan and monitor School operations in a manner which role models our Values They work closely with other departments to ensure that financial decisions are aligned with the overall goals of the organisation.
The School Management Accountant operates in collaboration with the Assistant Finance Manager and other Managers across the School, and reports to the Finance Manager. As a member of the General Staff, they ultimately report to the Business Manager.
Requirements of the Role:
Essential
- Post school qualifications in a finance-related field
- Experience working with a general ledger system and proven knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping concepts
- Excellent analytical skills with experience researching analysing and communicating financial data, statements and reports and developing strategies and options to address issues.
- A sound level of technological literacy in a business environment including but not limited to the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Support for the educational culture and Christian/Anglican ethos of the School.
- Current Working with Children Check.
Desirable
- Experience using Synergetic Management Systems
- Exposure to the practical application of the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs)
- Experience in an education setting
- Involvement in professional communities

Since 2011, the School has occupied the Mt Ridley P-12 campus of 10 hectares, this site will ultimately have 1,428 students. In 2019, it opened an 8-hectare second campus in Donnybrook. Currently numbering 840 students, it will ultimately have an enrolment of 1,596 from Prep to Year 12. At Donnybrook, the Secondary school commenced last year so now has 280 Year 7 and 8 students. Each year as additional classes and year levels are added, it will progress to offer Year 12 in 2028.
In 2023, the School opened its third campus in Kalkallo, as a Primary (P-6) school and as feeder to the Mt Ridley and Donnybrook Secondary schools, it will follow a similar growth pattern to Donnybrook with eventually 588 students.
This year, the school has 2,678 students and employs some 270 staff - 185 teaching and 85 non-teaching. Currently, the student enrolment at each campus is at Mt Ridley 1,418, Donnybrook 868 and Kalkallo 392.
The school is on a growth trajectory and in 2025 is projected to increase to 2,912 students (Mt Ridley 1,428, Donnybrook 1,008 & Kalkallo 476) and ultimately have some 3,612 students (Mt Ridley 1,428, Donnybrook 1,596 and Kalkallo 588) with a corresponding cohort of teaching and general staff on its three campuses with plans for further expansion.
