School Improvement Officer – Learning Diversity
Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga is seeking an experienced educational leader to join our School Improvement Services Team in a role dedicated to strengthening learning diversity across our Catholic schools.
Reporting to the Head of Curriculum & Pedagogy, you will work collaboratively with principals, leadership teams and teachers to improve educational outcomes for students with diverse learning needs through strategic advice, coaching and professional support.
This is an opportunity to influence learning diversity across the Diocese while supporting schools to deliver high-quality, evidence-informed teaching practices that enable every student to flourish.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership in learning diversity across the Diocese.
- Support schools to implement evidence-informed inclusive education practices.
- Guide schools in legislative compliance, including NCCD requirements.
- Build educator capability through coaching, mentoring and professional learning.
- Work collaboratively with principals and school leadership teams to support students with diverse learning needs.
- Strengthen partnerships with families, allied health professionals and external agencies.
- Analyse data to identify priorities and inform system improvement.
- Lead the development and review of policies, programs and resources supporting learning diversity.
About You
You are an experienced teacher and educational leader with expertise in learning diversity, inclusive education or special education. You are passionate about building school capability and creating learning environments where every student is supported to succeed.
You will also bring:
- Relevant teaching qualifications and current teacher accreditation.
- Postgraduate qualifications and/or significant experience in Learning Diversity, Inclusive Education or Special Education.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary inclusive education practices and relevant legislation.
- Excellent coaching, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
- A commitment to the mission and values of Catholic Education.
