This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026

Alkimos College is seeking to appoint a committed and passionate Program Coordinator to join our growing school.

Located in the northern suburb of Alkimos with sweeping ocean views, Alkimos College opened in 2020 with our foundation Year 7 cohort, providing local intake area students with access to an exceptional secondary education in world-class learning facilities. Stage 1 buildings include administration, lower school student services, library, gymnasium, fitness centre, food studios, cafeteria, Information Technology (IT) labs, technologies workshops, general classrooms, science laboratories, and nature play area. Shared oval and community facilities with the City of Wanneroo are available via the adjacent Halesworth Park precinct. Stage 2 (rolled out in 2024), includes a performing arts centre, lecture theatre, senior school student services centre and general classrooms.

The Role

As a Program Coordinator, you would work collaboratively with the Principal and members of the executive team to provide educational leadership within the school and the community. You would develop and promote the school's vision and encourage school staff and community members to share ownership of the school's vision and goals as a valued member of the leadership team.

The successful applicant will ideally support the implementation of the school’s Business Plan, work and teach in a team environment, be committed to whole school approaches and initiatives and be focused on an evidence-based approach to teaching through data analysis and self-reflection. The ideal applicant should have knowledge and skills to use a range of data sets to address individual student learning needs. Experience with Compass is highly desirable. As Program Coordinator, you would facilitate workforce effectiveness and be a role model for self-development to improve professional performance. Additionally, you would contribute to the development of school planning through participative decision-making, including developing policy and establishing and maintaining systems.

As the Program Coordinator, you would manage programs, specific curriculum areas, and general school administration. You will also undertake administrative duties related to the accountable department and liaise extensively with the Principal, Associate Principals, Heads of Learning Area, Program Coordinators and relevant staff. Experience and/or interest in whole school approaches to STEM and innovative practices is highly desirable. Specific duties will be determined based on the successful applicant’s skill set and organisational needs of the college.

Please note a teaching fraction (not exceeding 0.7) will be determined based upon the successful applicant’s skill set.
