The College Council is seeking a Principal who is an exceptional educational leader, strategic - relational, and faith-driven - who will honour the College’s Lutheran identity while confidently leading innovation in a contemporary educational landscape. The new Principal will lead the implementation of the 2025–2027 Strategic Plan and play a key role in shaping the College's future Masterplan.

Peace Lutheran College is a thriving, relational learning community in Cairns, offering a seamless Prep to Year 12 journey, including a vibrant boarding program from Year 7. With approximately 500 students, the College is proudly diverse, with strong connections to First Nations communities, Papua New Guinea, and a growing international presence.

As a boarding college, Peace attracts students from outside of the Cairns area, thus adding to its multi-cultural flavour. These students bring their respective backgrounds to Peace, enriching the lives of all students by sharing their experiences and ways of life. An integral part of the Peace campus approach is to recognise the cultures of all students in such a way that students benefit from each other’s history.

The College Council invites applications for the position of Principal to commence from 1 January 2027, or earlier if possible.

Peace is a college with a mission to share the good news of salvation through the saving grace of our Lord Jesus with both fellow Christians of other denominations, as well as those of non-Christian backgrounds. Being co-educational, Peace is committed to educating students of all cultures together so that they grow to maturity in an environment that reflects the multicultural world we live in.

Peace is a college on an upward trajectory. The College's 2025 Year 3 and Year 5 NAPLAN results reflect significant growth and a strengthening academic culture, while Year 12 graduates continue to achieve excellent outcomes across ATAR and vocational pathways. These results sit alongside a deeply embedded commitment to nurturing hearts, inspiring minds, and building meaningful global connections.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a College that is both grounded in its values and ambitious in its vision—set in one of Australia’s most unique and globally connected regions. You are encouraged to prayerfully consider this opportunity to lead Peace Lutheran College into its next phase of growth and impact.
