We are seeking to establish a pool of Library Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

Suitable applicants will ideally possess strong people skills and the capacity to positively relate and provide library support to staff, students and parents. We seek enthusiastic Library Officers who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the library, provision of reference information and maintaining the environment and associated services of the school library to support the learning outcomes of students. The Library Officer also administers the library systems ensuring library records are up to date and library resources are maintained and processed so they are always accessible and available to students and staff.

Working in partnership with staff you will create a welcoming and vibrant library environment for students and families. The Library Officer will be responsible for assisting students, parents and staff to select program and age-appropriate materials. They will also assist with the stocktaking and monitoring of the library budget and contributing to making recommendations for new library resources. Library Officers will ideally also be available to plan whole school events, facilitating clubs and being a trained facilitator of Rainbows programs would be desirable.
