Position Purpose

As a support member (non-teaching role) of our Diverse Learning Department, your responsibilities will include:

  • assisting the classroom teacher in providing a quality Catholic education focused on maximising student outcomes, through a holistic, student centred curriculum
  • supervising and supporting students with diverse learning needs in all school settings (e.g. classroom, school yard, school sport, etc)
  • supporting the Marist Catholic culture of the College.

And you will able to demonstrate:

  • an understanding of the needs of the diverse needs of students who require individual and classroom support
  • ability to work collaboratively with teachers as a team member
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to be organised, supportive and resourceful
  • a willingness to support the positive religious and cultural Catholic school environment for students
  • a Certificate III or IV in Educational Support from TAFE NSW or equivalent post-secondary qualification.
