About You

As an Assistant Diverse Learning Coordinator (1pt), you will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment. The position is a 1-point promotional role, temporary for up to 3 years, however your teaching position will be full-time and permanent. You will support the Diverse Learning Coordinator in providing quality learning experiences for diverse learning students.

You will be able to:

  • create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning and experiences catering to the diverse needs of students
  • support inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
  • demonstrate strong classroom management and student well-being focus
  • understand and cater for the diverse needs of students who require individual, classroom and community support in a range of learning environments
  • support the leadership of the Diverse Learning Coordinator by collaborating with classroom teachers to develop, implement, and monitor personalised learning plans
  • assist in the identification, assessment and ongoing monitoring of students requiring diverse learning support
  • maintain accurate records NCCD processes required under legislation
  • mentor diverse learning staff, sustaining an environment that supports continuous improvement in program delivery, as well as ongoing feedback
  • coordinate application and registration process for athletes with disabilities
  • be organised, supportive and resourceful
  • assist with the developing and facilitating staff professional development for best practices within EAL/D and diverse learning
  • bring a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation.
