About You
As an Assistant Diverse Learning Coordinator (1pt), you will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment. The position is a 1-point promotional role, temporary for up to 3 years, however your teaching position will be full-time and permanent. You will support the Diverse Learning Coordinator in providing quality learning experiences for diverse learning students.
You will be able to:
- create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning and experiences catering to the diverse needs of students
- support inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
- demonstrate strong classroom management and student well-being focus
- understand and cater for the diverse needs of students who require individual, classroom and community support in a range of learning environments
- support the leadership of the Diverse Learning Coordinator by collaborating with classroom teachers to develop, implement, and monitor personalised learning plans
- assist in the identification, assessment and ongoing monitoring of students requiring diverse learning support
- maintain accurate records NCCD processes required under legislation
- mentor diverse learning staff, sustaining an environment that supports continuous improvement in program delivery, as well as ongoing feedback
- coordinate application and registration process for athletes with disabilities
- be organised, supportive and resourceful
- assist with the developing and facilitating staff professional development for best practices within EAL/D and diverse learning
- bring a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation.
