About the role
The Junior School Learning Enhancement Coordinator is responsible for the effective delivery of teaching programs and is accountable for coordinating the Learning Enhancement in the Junior School.
The role works closely with the Head of Junior School and Deputy Head of Junior School as part of the Junior School Holistic Team. This also includes working with the Head of Learning Enhancement and the Director of Wellbeing to ensure a holistic approach is taken to the curriculum and the strategic objectives of the School are met. In addition to specified teaching duties, all teachers are expected to provide wellbeing support to the students and to be actively involved in curriculum development.
This is a part-time (0.7 FTE) ongoing position commencing Term 1, 2027.
What you bring
- Current VIT registration.
- Current curriculum knowledge and pedagogical practice to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those requiring additional support, enrichment, and/or extension.
- Experience in interpreting external reports and assisting staff in adopting suitable strategies to assist students in their learning needs.
- Demonstrated understanding of the need to address the academic, social and emotional needs of the students.
- Exceptional verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
