About You
As a Leader of Religious Learning & Formation, you will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment. The position is a 1-point promotional role, based at the South Hurstville Campus, temporary for up to 3 years, however your teaching position will be full-time and permanent.
To excel in this role, you will be able to:
- demonstrate the ability and qualifications to teach all levels of Religion including Studies of Religion. The ability to teach in another KLA is advantageous
- create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students
- utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress
- employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback
- support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
- demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being
- integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences
- support the co-curricular life of the College
- support the College's educational initiatives and endorse innovation as outlined in our Strategic Plan.
You will have attained:
- a tertiary qualification in Education
- eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
