About You
As the Leader of Pastoral Care, you will drive the strategic vision for student wellbeing across the College, anchoring our approach in 'The St Aloysius Way'. Leading and mentoring our dedicated team of Year Coordinators across Years 7-12, you will play a pivotal role in fostering personal responsibility, belonging, respect, and positive relationships. Central to this position is leading the vibrant and consistent implementation of 'The Resilience Project' framework, embedding its core pillars into the daily culture and lives of our students as we bring the spirit of 'The St Aloysius Way' to life.
The role works collaboratively with College leaders, staff, students, families and external support services to uphold a safe, inclusive and student-centred environment. It is responsible for guiding and strengthening the academic, social, emotional and spiritual development of all students, ensuring these practices reflect the College's Catholic identity and Lasallian tradition. The position provides strategic leadership and accountability for pastoral care, safeguarding and student support across the College.

Key Responsibilities
- student wellbeing leadership - lead year-group or house-based wellbeing structures that promote safety, belonging and positive behaviour
- behaviour support - implement consistent behaviour expectations, restorative practices and follow-up processes aligned with College policy
- family partnerships - communicate professionally with parents and carers to support student growth, engagement and wellbeing
- pastoral administration - manage pastoral records, monitor attendance patterns, and coordinate wellbeing interventions
- catholic identity & mission - model and promote the values of St Aloysius College through daily interactions, liturgical participation and community engagement
- staff collaboration - work closely with teachers, leaders and support staff to ensure consistent pastoral care across the College
- Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
