About the role

As the Human Resources and Compliance Manager at Ignatius Park College, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the College community by fostering a positive, professional, and values-driven workplace culture. You will play a key role in supporting staff wellbeing, development, and performance, while ensuring that all HR practices and compliance frameworks align with the College’s mission and strategic goals.

About the contract

The position is Permanent, Full Time (38 hours per week).

About you

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • Valid working rights within Australia.
  • Possess a current Queensland Working with Children Blue Card for paid employees before commencement as per the No Card, No Start policy developed by Queensland Government.
  • Bachelor level qualifications in human resource management, law, business or related disciplines.
  • Post Graduate Management qualification (desirable).
  • Expert knowledge of contemporary human resource/employee relations/risk and compliance management practices.
  • Highly developed knowledge and interpretation of Enterprise Bargaining Agreements, Industrial Awards and legislation such as Fair Work Act, Workplace Health and Safety Act, and the Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a human resource and risk and compliance role in a diverse organisation.  (Experience in the Education sector is desirable.)
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing HRM, WHS and Risk & Compliance systems and processes to a broad range of employees with a focus on continuous improvement and positive cultural change.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, documenting and implementing policies and procedures for a large organisation.
  • Proven ability to model the highest standard of ethical and professional behaviour and act with integrity and confidentiality.
