About the role

This pivotal leadership role oversees the strategic direction and academic performance of Years 10–12, ensuring innovative, data-informed, and inclusive curriculum delivery that supports each student to achieve his personal best. Reporting to the Director of Curriculum, the Dean will lead and mentor Faculty Leaders and teaching staff, fostering excellence in pedagogy, curriculum design, and student outcomes. The successful candidate will be an inspiring and collaborative educational leader, committed to the College’s mission, skilled in building strong professional teams, and passionate about engaging boys in meaningful, future-focused learning.

About the contract

The position is full time, fixed term 4 years (+4) starting in January 2026.

To be considered for this role you will need:

• Valid working rights within Australia.
• Be committed to the goals, ethos and mission of the College as a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice Tradition.
• Be registered with the Queensland College of Teachers.
• Professional qualifications in Education.
• Excellent classroom practitioner with extensive knowledge of boy-friendly pedagogy.
• Strong people management skills.
• Ability to manage conflict constructively and a willingness to challenge poor performance in staff.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build and direct teams of colleagues.
• Good administrative and organisational skills.
• Capability to inspire others to a shared vision.
