An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced educational leader to join our school community in the newly created role of Head of Professional Learning. About the Role

As Head of Professional Learning, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive professional learning strategy aligned with our school's mission, vision, and strategic priorities.

This is a Leadership Level 3 position with up to 0.6 FTE of a teaching load.

As the Head of Professional Learning, you will:

• Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive professional learning strategy aligned to the school’s mission and strategic goals.
• Inspire evidence-informed practice, reflective dialogue, and continuous growth among teaching and administrative staff.
• Guide and support staff accreditation, ensuring alignment with NESA and professional standards.
• Collaborate with the Leadership Team to analyse data, identify priorities, and promote innovative, research-based pedagogy.

About You

You are an experienced educator with a passion for professional growth and a proven track record in leading school-wide learning initiatives. You possess strong coaching and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and build the capability of others. You stay current with contemporary pedagogical research and understand how to translate theory into impactful practice.

Key Selection Criteria

• Tertiary qualifications in Education (postgraduate study in Leadership or Educational Studies preferred)
• Demonstrated experience in designing and leading school-wide professional learning
• Strong interpersonal, coaching, and organisational skills
• Deep understanding of contemporary pedagogical research and a track record of improving teaching practice
• Commitment to reflective practice, continuous professional improvement, staff wellbeing, and school values
