Brigidine College St Ives is seeking a dynamic Director of Teaching and Learning who will lead a culture of academic excellence and innovation.

About the Role

As a member of the College Leadership Team, the Director of Teaching and Learning provides strategic leadership and vision for teaching, learning, curriculum design, and professional practice across Years 7–12.

This is a Leadership Level 4 position with up to 0.4 FTE of a teaching load.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Leading the development and implementation of a contemporary, evidence-informed learning and wellbeing framework.
  • Overseeing curriculum planning, assessment, and compliance with NESA standards.
  • Using data to drive continuous improvement in student outcomes.
  • Promoting innovative pedagogy that caters for diverse learning needs through differentiated curriculum and instruction.

About You

The successful candidate will be a committed educational leader who demonstrates:

  • An understanding of Catholic educational ethos and mission.
  • Proven success in academic leadership and curriculum development.
  • Expertise in contemporary pedagogy and evidence-based teaching practice.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
  • A collaborative, visionary approach to strategic school improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or Leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in educational leadership within an independent school setting.
  • Current NESA accreditation and eligibility to teach in NSW.
