About the Role
The Head of Learning Enhancement will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs that support the diverse learning needs of all students. This includes students with disabilities, learning difficulties, high potential students and gifted and talented students.
In this key leadership role, the successful candidate will promote inclusive and evidence-based teaching practice, guide staff in differentiating learning, and ensure the holistic development of every student.
This is a Leadership Level 2 position with up to 0.6 FTE of a teaching load.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of diverse learning staff to deliver innovative, inclusive educational practice.
- Coordinate the identification, monitoring, and support of students with diverse learning needs.
- Oversee the development and implementation of Personalised Learning Plans and enrichment programs.
- Design, evaluate, and refine intervention programs across the tiers of support.
- Facilitate professional development in inclusive education, gifted education, and evidence-based pedagogy.
- Ensure compliance with NESA and Catholic Schools NSW requirements, including NCCD processes.
- Promote strong partnerships with parents and the wider community to support student achievement and wellbeing.
Key Requirements
- Teaching qualifications and current NESA accreditation to teach in NSW.
- Postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience in Learning Support or Inclusive Education.
- Comprehensive understanding of NESA and legislative frameworks including the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and the Disability Standards for Education 2005.
- Proven leadership experience in inclusive education and team development.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching, student-centered practice, and collaborative leadership.
- Understanding of the Catholic ethos and a willingness to contribute to the life of the College community.
