Your Responsibilities
As the Head of Department - The Arts, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring highest quality curriculum programs, including review and rewrite of Version 9 Australian Curriculum, as per rollout timelines.
- Ensuring accountability of content & delivery of curriculum programs (including extensions for assessment and QCAA requirements).
- Resource management (financial, physical, teaching).
- Ensuring participation in curriculum program through support of students who are not effectively accessing their programs (equipment, industry, assessment submission).
- Supporting curriculum area teachers to build and refine pedagogical and behaviour management strategies to increase student engagement, through formal professional development, classroom visits and informal support.
- Ensure alignment of Individual Curriculum Plan (ICP) assessment tasks are appropriate and suitable through liaising with HOD (Personalised Learning).
- Approval of all assessment tasks (including ICP tasks).
