Temporary Relieving Applicant Pool - Guidance Officer

This continuous applicant pool is open to candidates that meet the mandatory requirements of the Guidance Officer role as detailed in the attached role description. Engagements from this applicant pool for vacancies up to 6 months in duration that may occur across the Darling Downs South West Region. Duration of vacancies are according to operational needs of schools.

Applications will be reviewed and considered throughout 2026, if and when short term temporary vacancies arise. The submission of an application to this pool does not guarantee an offer of employment or an application assessment response. Applicants are requested to withdraw their application in the situation where they are no longer available or interested in pursuing employment through this continuous applicant pool. Applicants may resubmit applications at any time.

It is recommended that all applicants discuss with their current supervisor support for the application and capacity to release. Approval for release from your substantive position will be required before any offer of a relieving opportunity is made. The region may also elect to progress a separate EOI for individual positions when considered appropriate. Due to the geographical diversity of DDSW, candidates are encouraged to research schools prior to applying and indicate location preference to the online questionnaire.

Applications will no longer be valid after 18 September 2026. Salary advertised is reflective of 1 Full Time Equivalent.

• Applicants must have full teacher registration and have been a teacher for a minimum of 2 years.
• Applicants may be required to have Blue Card or Blue Card Exemption Card.
• Applicants must meet the mandatory qualification, including that all qualifications are complete at time of application
