About Our School
St Clare's College Waverley is at the forefront of education when it comes to innovation in teaching and learning. We are seeking a qualified Teacher to join our highly dedicated and experienced Diverse Learning Team on a temporary basis until the end of Term 3, 2026. A background as an English Teacher would be advantageous.
The role of Diverse Learning Teacher is to support the diverse needs of students in Years 7 to 12 with a wide range of learning abilities. This role involves working collaboratively with the Leader of Diverse Learning and the wider Diverse Learning team. As a member of St Clare's College, the role requires a commitment to supporting a positive religious and cultural Catholic school environment for young women in the Franciscan tradition.

About You
As a Diverse Learning Teacher, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.
To excel in this role, you will be able to:
- demonstrate experience implementing adjustments for students with a range of diverse learning needs to enhance learning growth across all KLAs
- collaboratively and collegially work as a member of the Diverse Learning team
- demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to deal sensitively with students, parents/carers and staff when required
- provide in class support to students who may have a mild to moderate cognitive disability
- use Catholic Schools NSW PPSD profiles is an advantage
- administer one on one and small group interventions to students with a diverse range of learning abilities
- assist in administering a range of standardised assessments
- help maintain school based data and records upholding confidentiality
- create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students
- use and integrate technology across a wide range of administrative and curriculum applications into everyday learning and planning
- support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
- provide evidence of a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation.
