Are you passionate about supporting young minds in a creative, hands-on learning environment? Veritas Education is seeking dedicated and reliable Design Technology Technicians to join our team and work on a temporary basis in secondary schools across Bradford

????️ About the Role:

As a DT Technician, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the Design & Technology department, helping to prepare materials, maintain equipment, and ensure a safe and productive environment for students and staff. This is an ideal role for someone with a background in practical subjects such as woodwork, metalwork, product design, or engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing and setting up materials and equipment for practical lessons
• Maintaining tools, machinery, and equipment to ensure health and safety standards are met
• Supporting teachers and students during practical lessons
• Ordering and organising materials and stock
• Assisting with project work, displays, and classroom resources

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a workshop, school, or similar setting (preferred)
• Practical knowledge of tools, machines, and materials used in DT (wood, metal, plastics)
• A proactive and safety-conscious approach to work
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one through Veritas)
