St Mary's Primary School is seeking an exceptional educational leader to join our welcoming Catholic learning community as Deputy Principal. This unique 0.6 FTE Deputy Principal leadership opportunity is supported by a dedicated 0.4 FTE Administration Coordinator, enabling the successful applicant to focus on POLs including teaching and learning, student wellbeing and whole-school improvement.

About the Role
The Deputy Principal is the second educational leader of the school and works in close partnership with the Principal to advance the school's vision, strategic priorities and Catholic mission.
St Mary's has intentionally designed its leadership model to maximise educational leadership while ensuring efficient school operations.
The Deputy Principal is allocated 0.6 FTE leadership release, incorporating responsibility for the portfolios of:
- Learning and Teaching
- Assessment and Reporting
- Student Wellbeing
The role is complemented by a dedicated 0.4 FTE Administration Coordinator, who provides leadership across administration and school operations, including staffing, communications, timetabling support and organisational systems.
This complementary leadership model has been intentionally designed to maximise instructional leadership by enabling the Deputy Principal to prioritise coaching, curriculum leadership, student wellbeing and whole-school improvement while ensuring the efficient operation of the school.
We are seeking a leader who will:
- provide exemplary leadership within a Catholic learning community
- champion a culture of high expectations, inclusion and continuous improvement
- lead evidence-informed teaching and learning
- build staff capability through coaching, mentoring and professional learning
- lead the strategic use of assessment and student achievement data
- promote student wellbeing, engagement and belonging
- support the implementation of the School Improvement Plan and Annual Action Plan
- ensure the effective day-to-day leadership and operation of the school.
