Job Description
Waverley Christian College is a forward thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2025.
The College is seeking a full-time creative and strategic Communications Coordinator to lead and drive the development and delivery of communications, publications, and marketing. This is a 12-month parental leave replacement contract commencing in February 2026.
Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and students, you’ll coordinate a wide range of projects. From producing key College publications such as the College magazine and managing our website and social media presence, to leading marketing initiatives and supporting alumni communications. You’ll bring exceptional graphic design skills, a strong understanding of branding and digital communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders with creativity, initiative, and confidence.
This influential role helps share the story of our College community and supports our mission to serve and impact the world for Christ through clear, purposeful, and engaging communication.
You are an ideal candidate if you:
- Bring strong experience in graphic design and desktop publishing including Canva and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Have demonstrated skills in managing social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Messenger and ideally TikTok as well (the latter is optional).
- Communicate confidently and effectively, with excellent interpersonal skills to engage with staff, students, and parents.
- Are highly motivated and proactive, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Have administrative and Microsoft Office 365 skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Enjoy working collaboratively in a team environment
- Are able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education
- Are willing to get involved in all aspects of the College’s programs and opportunities
