Our School

Ballarat Clarendon College is a co-educational school for day and boarding students. Approximately 2,000 students attend the school. About the Role - Commerce teacher

As a Commerce teacher at Clarendon, you will inspire students to develop a strong understanding of business, economics and financial literacy. Working within a collaborative and high-performing environment, you will deliver engaging and evidence-based learning experiences that foster critical thinking, problem-solving and informed decision-making. Through innovative teaching and a commitment to student growth, you will support every learner to achieve their potential while building the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in an increasingly complex and interconnected world.

Knowledge, skill and qualification requirements:

• Commitment to students' academic, social and emotional development.
• Knowledge of curriculum design, lesson planning and evidence-based teaching practices.
• Ability to analyse and use student data to inform teaching and improve learning outcomes.
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and families.
• Capacity to work collaboratively within a high-performing team.
• Demonstrated commitment to Child Safety.
• Willingness to learn, be resilient and agile.
• A valid Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or ability to obtain.
