Role Description/Criteria

We are looking for a school leader who demonstrates the capacity to build nurturing, professional relationships with students, staff and parents. They must be open to professional growth and learning and have the capacity to provide targeted support, mentoring and feedback to staff. Applicants must possess highly developed administrative and communication skills.

Applicants must have a current VIT registration. Experience working in a Catholic school setting is an advantage. Applicants with a current VCEA Accreditation to Teach in Catholic School (or interstate equivalent) are preferred.

Key Selection Criteria

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

• Demonstrated ability to lead teaching and learning in alignment with the Science of Learning and evidence-based pedagogy.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum design with a clear commitment to developing a knowledge-rich approach.
• Proven expertise in explicit teaching, high-impact strategies, and the application of cognitive science principles.
• Ability to build staff capacity through coaching, collaboration, and targeted professional learning.
• Skilled in data analysis and able to use evidence effectively to guide improvement.
• Highly developed communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to the Catholic ethos, mission, and vision of the school.
