St Peter’s Catholic College, Tuggerah is currently seeking an energetic and passionate School Business Manager. The successful candidates will be suitably qualified and enjoy working in a dynamic and cohesive team.
Reporting directly to the Principal, the School Business Manager operates as the school's Chief Operating Officer, overseeing a diverse operational portfolio. The successful applicant will demonstrate proven experience in providing strategic and operational leadership across key business functions, including facilities and maintenance, Work Health and Safety, finance and curriculum budgets, procurement, staffing, information technology, enrolments, governance, compliance, and team leadership.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity to start on 24th September 2026.

Specific Criteria
- Providing the College Principal with analysis, insights, and clear recommendations to enhance the Financial Viability of the College.
- Ensuring sound resource planning, coordination, preparation and monitoring of the annual College budgets and medium to long term financial planning.
- Management of all statutory non-curricular administrative and financial compliance areas.
- Management and oversight of facilities, including engagement and supervision of trades people and maintenance contractors.
- Leading the promotion of the school to drive enrolments.
- Leadership and supervision of all non-teaching support staff.
- Collaboration with other CSBB leaders.
- Active involvement in all systems wide initiatives to improve the planning and management of resources.
About You
Have tertiary qualifications in finance and/or business management and experience in managing the delivery of finance and administrative services, ideally in an education or NGO environment. You will be an innovative self-starter with a broad interest across a range of business facets, and you will have experience managing and leading a team. To be successful you will also:
- Support the ethos of Catholic Education
- Possess a high level of knowledge of accounting, finance, business acumen and strategic planning.
- Experience using financial applications to support efficient decision making.
- Experience in asset management procedures and processes.
- Understanding and application of facilities management.
- Understanding of governance and compliance
- Experience of current state and national Work, Health & Safety requirements, and legislation.
- Understanding of the return on investment in relation to school promotion strategy and increased enrolments.
- Demonstrated experience in management and supervision of a multi-disciplined team such as administrative staff, facilities teams, suppliers and contractors.
- Possess a high degree of initiative and creative problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
