The Role

Gilmore College is ideally seeking an innovative and collaborative Associate Principal to join our executive leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educational leader with strengths in Human Resource Management, primary school partnerships and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education to contribute to the College's strategic direction and ongoing success.

As a member of the Executive, the successful applicant will ideally provide strategic leadership that supports high-quality teaching and learning, student achievement and staff wellbeing. You should lead the College's Human Resources portfolio, including workforce planning, recruitment and performance management, while fostering a positive workplace culture and building staff capability.

The role will ideally also strengthen partnerships with local primary schools to support successful student transitions and lead the College's STEM portfolio by promoting innovative, future-focused teaching and learning opportunities.

The successful applicant will ideally be an approachable and highly organised leader with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The successful applicant should display the ability to lead change, build effective relationships with staff, students, families and the wider community, and use data-informed practices to achieve positive outcomes for all students.

Eligibility

  • obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
