Location: Wellington Correctional Centre
Employment type: Ongoing, Full time
Salary: $84,659 - $92,701 pa Plus superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
The Administration Officer provides administrative and support services to facilitate the operation of Corrective Services Industries by providing support to senior executive or work teams in correctional administrative processes and activities such as general administration, executive support, finance, procurement, warehousing and stores or records maintenance for the effective operation of the work area.
What you’ll do
- Provide a range of administrative and support services, including records management, routine correspondence, meeting and event coordination, to support the effective operation of the team/unit
- Collect and compile information for, and prepare documentation and correspondence in line with quality and organisational requirements, to support information flow and inform decision making
- Complete routine financial transactions and purchasing services, ensuring compliance with agency standards and procedures
- Respond to enquiries, and escalate and redirect issues as required, to ensure the provision of accurate information
- Update and maintain records and databases, complying with administrative systems and processes, to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible
- Delivering multiple administrative support activities and services in line with agreed standards, timeframes and milestones, given tight timeframes and the need to maintain accuracy and attention to detail
- Consistently performing to a high standard in a busy and complex work environment
What we’re looking for
Essential Requirements
- Current Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle in the course of performing the role.
- Proven experience to meet Key Accountabilities and Key Challenges detailed on Role Description
- Proven experience in computers and business software, such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, Pronto (or similar business management system), EDRMS, My Work Zone
- Proven ability to deliver multiple administrative support activities and services in line with agreed standards, timeframes and milestones, given tight timeframes and the need to maintain accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven ability to consistently performing to a high standard in a busy and complex work environment
- Willingness to undertake Pronto training
