We have a contract position for a Year 5/6 class teacher at Holy Rosary School, Kensington. This contract is to cover a maternity leave position in Semester Two, 2026.

We seek a passionate, collaborative, inspiring and innovative teacher with a strong work ethic to work at Holy Rosary School. We have a 6 month contract position commencing in Term 3, 2026. Days of work are Thursday, Friday and alternate Wednesdays.

Selection Criteria

Applicants should address the Selection Criteria, include a resume and name three referees, including your current principal.

The successful applicant should have the knowledge and skills to:

• create engaging, challenging and innovative learning aligned with MACS Vision for Instruction using evidence based practices that support diverse needs and improved student learning outcomes
• work collaboratively with a Year 5/6 teaching partner
• support and implement the practices of MACS Vision for Engagement, including PBL (Positive Behaviour for Learning)
• nurture the faith of our students and integrate and promote engagement in the religious life of the school
• participate and initiate ways to engage with the community, and to extend and celebrate student learning within and beyond the classroom
• develop and maintain relationships with colleagues that contribute to positive workplace relationships
• reflect on personal and team practice, and contribute to the professional growth of self and others.

Special Requirements

The successful applicant will:

• have an understanding of the ethos and traditions of the Catholic church
• have VIT registration
• be accredited to teach RE or committed to achieving this accreditation
• be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
• Commit to Holy Rosary School's Child Safe policies and the Code of Conduct.
