This position is for a textiles and junior technology teacher. Textiles is a very popular subject with textiles classes in year 9, year 10 and year 11, the rooms are well equipped with the latest equipment.

The students are very keen, with a strong interest in textiles, fashion and garment construction. There is flexibility for the teacher to provide experiences in many areas of the teaching program.

The P&C has supplied the school with new Bernina machines and a new Bernina embroidery machine. As well as this there are access to laser cutters, drawing programs and Microsoft and Adobe packages. Every classroom has a Smartboard and A/C.

The staff in TAS are young and keen with the school providing weekly beginner teacher meetings to enhance their practice. You will be provided with a teacher laptop and the latest software. The school supports explicit teaching and has a strong focus on literacy.
