Teaching Assistant (Part-Time - Afternoons)

Veritas Education is working in partnership with a friendly and welcoming primary school in Lancaster who are seeking a Teaching Assistant (TA) to join their team immediately.

Role Overview

This is a part-time, afternoon role supporting pupils in Key Stage 1 and then helping to supervise and engage children in the school's after-school club.

• Hours: Lunchtime until 5:30pm
• Days: Monday to Friday
• Contract: Term time only
• Start date: Immediate

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils in KS1 classrooms during the afternoon
• Assisting the class teacher with learning activities and behaviour support
• Helping to create a fun, safe, and engaging environment in the after-school club
• Supervising children during activities, play, and transitions

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience working with children (school or childcare setting preferred)
• A positive, patient, and reliable approach
• Confident supporting young learners in a primary school setting
• Able to commit to the role on a long-term, term-time basis
