The Role

At Cecil Andrews College, we're dedicated to implementing the science of learning. We seek an individual who is enthusiastic about joining us on this educational journey. The successful candidate ideally will have a collaborative spirit and a commitment to fostering strong relationships within the school community to ensure the best outcomes for all students. Applicants with professional expertise to deliver a Science Curriculum that's both engaging and tailored to student needs and interests, emphasising critical content through a fine-grained program is highly regarded.

Prior Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) teaching experience is advantageous but not mandatory. We're committed to providing comprehensive training and support as needed. Your dedication and expertise will be key in helping students excel in the challenging field of science. The successful candidate will ideally provide professional expertise to deliver a Science Curriculum that's both engaging and tailored to student needs and interests, emphasising critical content through a fine-grained program. Experience in extending students through our Academic Extension program is desired.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work across Year 7 to 12, according to college needs, and bring their expertise to the Science Learning Area, ideally applying their knowledge of the Science Courses and experience in teaching Senior School Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) Science to help our students achieve outstanding results. The successful applicant will ideally work and teach in a team environment and should be committed to whole college approaches and initiatives and have a strong evidence-based approach to teaching. Adopting inclusive practices, and building positive relationships with students, staff and the community are important components of the role.
