This is a 12 month fixed term, full-time position commencing as soon as possible with possible extension and/or permanency

South Newman PS is using a whole school explicit instruction approach to lesson delivery. We have whole school plans and programs that the successful applicant will be able to follow. We are very supportive of new staff and have comprehensive induction with ongoing professional learning to help new teachers learn the programs we run. We take very seriously the obligation of supporting and developing graduate teachers.

The Role

The successful applicant will ideally be a passionate, motivated and skilled educator who is committed to improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for every child, every day, through our whole school approaches, explicit teaching and instructional strategies.

We are seeking a teacher with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills which underpin professional and positive working relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community.

Eligibility

To work with us, you must hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration, be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights, apply for a WA Working with Children Check, and consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
