Located in the Goldfields-Esperance region, north of Kalgoorlie, Leonora DHS caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 12. The Role
Leonora DHS is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Primary Teacher to join our team. The successful applicant will teach across Years 1 to 6 and will ideally have expertise in multi age planning and explicit teaching practices. Familiarity with evidence based programs such as InitialLit, MultiLit and Learning Through Doing would be highly regarded, along with a commitment to delivering engaging and high quality learning programs that maximise student outcomes. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment and who is eager to contribute to whole school improvement initiatives.

Teachers and School Administrators employed at Leonora District High School in 2025 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $8 500 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.

Mobility appointments for permanent, metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
