Job Description

Teacher of Science (Chemistry)

Melbourne Grammar School is seeking a passionate Teacher of Science with the ability to teach VCE Chemistry to spark curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and nurture a lifelong passion for Science in our students. The ability to teach another VCE Science subject would be an advantage. This is a full-time ongoing role commencing in Term 1, 2026.

This role will see you

  • Inspire and foster a passion and appreciation of learning
  • Work as a pedagogical educator, committed to driving and sharing best practice with other teachers in the Department
  • Facilitate the exploration of student interests, fostering the pursuit of academic and personal growth
  • Support the individual wellbeing of our students.

You will:

  • Have experience teaching Science in VCE and a passion for the education of students from Years 7 to 12
  • Work in partnership to deliver exceptional educational experiences we offer our students
  • Collaborate with others to educate and nurture the whole person, fostering each student’s intellectual, spiritual, physical, psychological and emotional growth
  • Use your skills to actively contribute to co-curricular activities.

VIT registration, or the ability to gain VIT registration, is essential.
