The School
Lakeland Senior High School (SHS) is an Independent Public School located in South Lake. The school is close to the city and situated near the freeway and Cockburn Central train and bus station. Approximately 40% of students live outside of the Lakeland SHS boundary with many selected into our endorsed specialist programs and school developed enrichment programs. The school caters for all students with a comprehensive range of courses and pathways to best meet the needs and interests of students

The Role
We are seeking like-minded teachers who ideally have a passion for teaching secondary students and a desire to impart their skills and knowledge across our school. A teacher that wants to make a difference, someone who not only teaches the subject, but brings it to life in a way that engages, excites, and empowers students.
The successful applicant will ideally be an active contributor to the mathematics learning area and be reflective in their practice to support professional growth and improve educational outcomes for students. You will ideally possess a sound understanding of the mathematics curriculum and courses. Knowledge and the ability to use high impact learning strategies to successfully engage students in Mathematics will be highly regarded.
The ability to differentiate curriculum and implement innovative approaches to improve outcomes for both high and low achieving students is a key element to this position. You should build positive relationships with your students and be passionate about creating positive futures for students and utilise evidence-based decision-making skills within your practice. The successful application will ideally have strong communication skills, and experience teaching in lower and upper school.
