About Us
Wiluna Remote Community School (RCS) is a vibrant educational institution located in the culturally rich and historically significant region of Wiluna, 1000km north-east of Perth and 550km north of Kalgoorlie. Our school caters to students from Kindergarten through Year 12, with a dedicated enrolment of between 65 and 85 students. The Martu community work in a two-way approach in co-designing our school.

The Role
We have a unique opportunity for a Health and Physical Education Teacher (HPE) with ideally, exceptional interpersonal skills and a natural ability to communicate effectively and foster genuine relationships with parents, students, and colleagues. As a HPE Teacher, you would promptly establish a positive and inclusive environment, setting high expectations and cultivating a growth mindset, while nurturing students' social and emotional development. It is highly desirable that the successful applicant has experience and/or interest with trauma informed practice and working with students with special needs.
Ideally, you will exhibit exemplary teaching skills, with a strong motivation to excel, and a commitment to delivering best practices. The capacity to excel in an environment characterised by whole-school connected practice, collaborative team structures, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth is highly valued.
As a member of our team, you would leverage high-impact teaching strategies and showcase experience in designing and delivering engaging literacy and numeracy programs. An understanding of differentiation to meet diverse student needs is highly valued, along with proficiency in utilising various assessment tools to inform progress, provide constructive feedback, and guide future classroom planning.

Teachers and School Administrators employed at Wiluna Remote Community School in 2026 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $2 000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.
