Teacher - Education Support
We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Support Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Piara Waters Senior High School (SHS) is situated in the beautifully landscaped suburb of Piara Waters, approximately 25kms south of Perth. The school is surrounded by luscious greenery and forms part of the vibrant, multicultural community of Piara Waters. The school commenced with Year 7 students in 2023, and presently has Year 7, 8 and 9 cohorts. Each year the school adds to its growing cohort, until it reaches Year 12 in 2028.

The Role
The suitable applicants should be student and relationship focused, highly motivated, reflective, and innovative. The suitable applicants should be flexible, adaptive teachers with knowledge and skills related to students with disability, including Intellectual Disability (ID), physical disability, high need Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and imputed disability.
The suitable applicants will ideally be proficient in managing classes and have the interpersonal skills to liaise with parents and therapists to meet the educational and pastoral care needs of the students.
The suitable applicants would be committed to promoting and fostering high levels of student engagement and academic and personal achievement in a supportive environment where success is celebrated. The suitable applicants should be student and relationship focused, highly motivated, reflective, and innovative. You should have a firm belief that all students can reach their potential to achieve their highest educational outcomes. Adopting inclusive practices, building positive relationships with students, staff and the community are important components of the role.
